Chestnut and Pepper are horses that serve as pets and work animals of the Sinclair Family, drawing the Sinclair Wagon.

Appearance

Chestnut is a brown mare with a dark brown mane and white snout markings. Pepper is a black mare with a black mane. Both are the size of average horses. When tacked to the wagon, they wear brown bridles and reins.

Personality

They're shown to be affectionate towards their owners, appreciating Cliff's petting and Sammy's reward of sugar cubes. When reuniting with the Sinclairs after their fight against Demons, they were nuzzling them happily. Both appeared annoyed at Fritz's flirting while at the stables.

History

Love and War

Pepper and Chestnut were mostly seen drawing the wagon as it traveled from Riverside to Weyville, the river north of the Southern Woods and St. Curtis. During rest stops, they would be untacked and tethered to terrain, grazing the grass.

Intrigued by the Death puppet Rhea kept on her tail, Pepper bit down on it, causing quite the pain.

The Flower Festival

Day 2

Pepper and Chestnut stayed at the Southeast St. Curtis Public Stables during the Festival, where Cliff would come check on them. They did not seem to appreciate Fritz's attempts at flirting, showing annoyed expressions.

Raising Hell

Following the Sinclairs' fight against Haury's Squad, Chestnut and Pepper were fetched by Jake and brought back to their owners, with whom they happily reunited. They then left town with them, supposedly heading south.

• Their names were first revealed in Soprano of Time, where they appeared as animals of the Sinclair Ranch.
